Variety Description
Hosta Hadspen Blue (Smith/Ruh, 1976) [H. Tardiana grex] Another of Eric Smith's blues, this one has leave that have a heavy texture. It only gets 8 inches tall and 10 inches wide, and produces pretty white flowers.
Hosta Hadspen Heron (Smith/Ruh, 1976) [H. Tardiana grex] Narrow blue green leaves that form a tight small clump, only getting 8 inches tall and 10 inches wide. Lavender flowers
Hosta Halcyon

(Smith/BHHS, 1988) [H. Tardiana grex] One of if not THE best blues of all time! This hosta originally from England holds it's color the longest of any blue we've seen. Leaves have heavy substance and nothing seems to bother them. Clump gets 21 inches tall and 23 inches wide. Forms a beautiful clump. Highly recommend this one for every garden! Hosta Harvest Dawn (Ruh/Summers, 1997) [A seedling whose pod parent is H. sieboldii Paxton's Original] Very dark green, glossy and pointed leaves. Makes an upright clump that gets 8 inches tall and 17 inches wide. Great hosta to surround your variegated varieties. Pale lavender flowers
Hosta Harvest Delight (Ruh/Summers, 1997) [A seedling whose pod parent is H. kikutii] A pretty green hosta selected from seedlings of the species. Leaves have a slight wave to them. Clump gets a foot high and nearly 2 feet wide. Gives the garden a wonderful green texture to combine with your variegated plants. Medium lavender flowers.
Hosta Hauser's Wide Leaf (?) [Parentage Unknown] Believed to come from the Hauser Farm nursery in Wisconsin. Described as a wide leaf all green hosta. Little is known about this hosta or it's origin.
Hosta Heart Ache (Benedict, NR) [Parentage unknown] Medium to bright gold leaves that are of good substance. Clump will get about 20 inches high and nearly 4 feet across. The real beauty comes when it blooms a dark lavender color. Makes a beautiful contrast with it's gold heart shaped foliage.
Hosta Heart's Content (Vaughn, NR) [Parentage unknown] This hosta forms a very pretty full large size clump measuring 22 inches high and nearly 4 feet across. It's leaves are a medium green with a nice wide crisp white edge. Clump has good substance. Lavender Flowers
Hosta Helonioides Albopicta (Maekawa/AHS, 1987) [Parentage unknown] An elongated leaf that is bright green with a creamy yellow edge. Forms a pretty clump that gets a foot high and nearly two feet wide. It's flowers are a beautiful purple color.
Hosta Hercules (Goffery/Summers, NR) [A seedling whose pod parent is H. Sagae] Like it's parent this hosta makes a huge massive clump of large blue-green leaves and grows quickly. Later in the season the leaves turn a dark green. White flowers
Hosta Hi Ho Silver (Walters Gardens, 1997) [Sport from H. Ginko Craig] Light green slender leaves that are very wavy, and has a white edge. Adorable! The clump reaches a foot high and over 2 feet wide. Great for the front of the border or in your Fairy garden. Deep purple flowers
Hosta Hime (Japan, NR) Tiny hosta with tiny little green leaves. An adorable addition to any Fairy garden. Hime means tiny in Japan and this one sure is. Lavender flowers
Hosta Hirao Majesty (Ruh/Hirao, 1997) [Parentage unknown] Large dark green leaves that forms a nice big clump measuring 18 inches tall and 39 inches wide. The flowers are an amazing deep lavender color and hang downwards. Beautiful in flower!
Hosta Hirao Supreme (Ruh/Hirao, 1997) [Parentage unknown] A beautiful bright green clump measuring 20 inches tall and 38 inches wide. Again this one is special for it's bright full lavender flowers that lean downwards.
Hosta Honeysong (Summers, NR) [Parentage unknown] From Alex Summers this one carries the name of his garden in Bridgeville, DE. Bright green leaves with a crisp white wide edge. Makes a wonderful display when planted in mass and will get everyone's attention. Lavender flowers
Hosta Hoosier Harmony (Indianapolis Hosta Society, 1995) Fragrant [Sport from H. Royal Standard] Yellow to chartreuse leaves with green edges. Clump gets 18 inches tall and 3 feet wide. Makes a beautiful display in any garden. Flowers are white and fragrant. Plant it where you can sit and enjoy it's fragrance.
Hosta Ice Cream (Rossing, 1998) [Sport from H. Vanilla Cream] Deep dark green leaves with a gold/green edge. Small clump gets only 9 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Pretty lavender flowers. Perfect to brighten the Fairy Garden!
Hosta Inniswood

(Inniswood Metro Gardens, 1993) [Sport from H. Sun Glow] Another of the favorites here at Faewood, this is one amazing Hosta! It's leaves are a greenish gold with a dark green edge. The large clump gets two feet tall and four feet wide. Pale lavender flowers. A true show stopper planted in mass!
Hosta Invincible (Aden, 1986) Fragrant [H. Aden 314 x H. Aden 802] Wow what a shine! This hosta has glossy bright green leaves that are thick and wavy. The clump gets 10 inches tall and over a foot wide. Flowers are white and fragrant!
Hosta Iron Gate Bouquet (Sellers, 1993) Fragrant [A seedling whose pod parent is H. plantaginea] Light green leaves bordered by a thin white edge. Forms a nice clump measuring 20 inches wide and 24 inches tall. Amazing white fragrant flowers.
Hosta Iron Gate Delight (Sellers, 1981) Fragrant [A seedling whose pod parent is H. plantaginea] Leaves emerge medium green with a yellowish edge that later changes to creamy white. Fast growing clump gets 16 inches tall and 20 inches wide. Great Fragrant Flowers in midsummer.

(Sellers, 1981) Fragrant [A seedling whose pod parent is H. plantaginea] Beautiful green leaves bordered with a nice creamy white edge. Clump gets 28 inches tall and 30 inches wide. Lavender flowers are Fragrant!
Hosta Iron Gate Supreme (Sellers, 1980) [H. plantaginea x H. Tokudama Aureonebulosa] Nice green leaves with wide white stripes on this one. Clump gets 30 inches tall and three feet wide! Fragrant lavender flowers in midsummer.
Hosta Island Charm ((Malloy/Rasmussen, 1997) [A seedling whose pod parent is H. Flamboyant] Small white leaves are bordered in nice green edge. This one has amazing pink petioles for that real tropical feel. Clump gets 8.5 inches tall and only 12 inches wide. Great for the Fairy Beach scene! Lavender flowers. Too Cute!
Hosta Jade Beauty (Zilis, 1988) [Sport of Francee] The same green leaves as on it's classic parent, Francee, but without the edge. Same great substance and a fast grower. Clump quickly gets it's full size of 22" tall and 40" wide.
Hosta Jade Cascade (Heims, NR) A cross with the Hirao strain and the huge size and ruffled edges of H. montana macrophylla. Jade green leaves are 21" long and 8" wide, with deep veins and very shiny. They really cascade as the name suggests.
Hosta Jade Scepter (Zilis, 1988) [Sport of Golden Tiara] The all green form of a very cute plant is a fast growing edging plant or wonderful for your Fairy Garden. I've seen it in a Bonsai and it is cute as a button. Purple striped flowers
Hosta Janet (O'Harra, 1981) [Sport of H. Fortunei] An old favorite and true classic. Yellow to chartreuse leaves with a thin green edge. Forms a nice clump getting 15 inches tall and 24 inches wide. Pale lavender flowers top of this classic beauty. A must for every hosta garden.
Hosta Jimmy Crack Corn (Sawyer, NR) [a seedling whose pod parent is H. Piedmont Gold] What a large wonderful plant! It's leaves are gold with a piecrust edge. Near white flowers in early season
Hosta Joshua's Banner (Jones, NR) [Parentage unknown] Wonderful spring color this hosta has very bright yellow leaves when it emerges with a creamy white edge. As the season progresses the leaves take on a greenish yellow hue. Lavender flowers make for a great contrast.
Hosta Judy's Surprise (Walek, 1996) [H. Rosanne x H. Little White Lines] From our friend Kevin Walek, this cutie has medium gold leaves. The clump gets 15 inches tall and 20 inches wide. It holds it's leaves very upright. Pale lavender flowers
Hosta Julie Morss (Morss, 1983) [A seedling whose pod parent is H. Frances Williams] Light gold centered leaves with a chartreuse/green edge in spring, leaves later go green in summer. Clump reaches a foot high and 20 inches wide. Pale lavender flowers
Hosta Jumbo (Ruh, 1997) [A seedling whose pod parent is H. sieboldiana] Huge blue green leaves, great for the back of the border. Clump gets 17 inches high and 28 inches wide. White flowers. Great with your variegated hostas.
Hosta June

(Neo Plants Ltd, 1991) [Sport from H. Halcyon] With out a doubt one of the most amazing hostas of all times. It has light yellow leaves with a wide blue green edge. Light lavender flowers in early summer. Takes a while to get established but oh so worth the wait! 2001 AHGA Hosta of the Year
Hosta June Beauty (Wayside Gardens/AHS, 1985)  [H. Sieboldiana sport] Beautiful grey green leaves that make an outstanding display in the garden. Medium size clump. Nearly white flowers early in the season.
